Course description

Course outline AND PURPOSE:


To ensure all school based Designated Child Protection Leads are update in matters relevant to their role.



To issue Certificate of Attendance for those who participate in the whole day. This is an intensive course and latecomers who the course leader judges have already missed significant course input will not be issued with a certificate. In these circumstances the attendee will need to be repeat the whole session before the necessary certificate can be issued.

KEY OBJECTIVES:


Participants are kept abreast of Child Protection issues in relation to the local and national context



Participants will be skilled and confident to successfully undertake their statutory roles and responsibilities within their school

Additional Information

Target AUDIENCE:

School based staff with Designated Child Protection responsibilities within their school, in all phases and settings. The Refresher Training is only for those who have already completed the Induction for school based Designated Child Protection staff. Designated staff need to repeat their refresher training every two years.

I No charge to schools that have bought back into the Professional Development SLA
