COURSE OUTLINE AND PURPOSE:

This course will look at developing excellent and effective transition procedures between Reception and Year 1. The course will explore the continuity between the areas of learning across key stages, whilst offering practitioners an opportunity to explore an integrated approach to learning, the environment, structure and routine. The course will ensure that the firm foundations of Reception are built upon and continued throughout Year 1.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

Early Years Practitioners, Subject Leaders and SLT wanting to have a greater understanding of maths development in the early years.

COURSE OUTLINE AND PURPOSE:

When was the last time your practitioners in the foundation stage had bespoke training around early mathematical development? Are your children starting year 1 with a firm grasp of mathematics?

This course explores early mathematical development across the foundation stage. Practitioners will enhance their subject knowledge and pedagogy as they consider and apply research from the likes of Dr Tony Wing, Rochel Gelman & Jerome Bruner through a range of practical activities.

 

PLEASE NOTE THAT REGISTRATION IS 9.20am for a 9.30am start
